Balanced HB Graphite
HB sits at the centre of the graphite hardness scale, offering a balanced combination of strength and smoothness. It produces clear, consistent lines while still allowing lighter or darker tones depending on how much pressure is applied.

This makes HB one of the most versatile graphite grades, suitable for writing, sketching, shading and everyday drawing. Because HB graphite is firmer than softer grades, it is also less prone to breaking under pressure, making it particularly well suited to young hands developing their drawing and writing skills.

Triangular Shape for Developing Grip
Like other Ferby pencils, this graphite version features a chunky triangular barrel and a thick 6.25–6.5mm core. The ergonomic triangular shape encourages a natural tripod grip, helping children learn correct pencil control while reducing hand strain.
